GOTTA PIN IT: 5 OF MY FAVORITE FALL FOOD RECIPES (OR ONES I WANT TO TRY)

Fall is here, and it's time to try some delicious new recipes. In today's post, I wanted to share some Pinterest posts on some of my favorite fall recipes (or some that I want to try).

1: THE GREATEST MAC AND CHEESE EVER

This mac and cheese recipe is one of my favorites, and it's one for the crockpot, so you don't have to slave over it in the kitchen to have something delicious.

My favorite part of this is the addition of paprika, which I never thought to add to my macaroni and cheese.

I have taken this mac and cheese to potlucks and it is usually eaten up and I don't have any leftovers to take home, which I usually love!

If you love mac and cheese, you HAVE to give this recipe a shot this fall, even if it isn't until November!

2: EASY AND TASTY POTATO SOUP

I do make one minor change to the ingredients listed. Instead of the chunked potato hash browns, I use the shredded ones and I put them in the crockpot when they are frozen.

Everything else is the same. However, I usually leave this on low pretty much all day so that it is ready when I get home.

This is one of Jonathan (the hubby) and I's favorite things to have. I especially love it with green onions and bacon. If you don't think you can get any fresh green onions, you can usually find them as herbs in the seasoning isle. That's what we use, since a lot of the left over green onions go bad fairly quickly.

Give this dish a try! You will love it. Add cheese, bacon, and green onions for extra flavor!

3: SAUSAGE BALLS (WHICH ARE GREAT IN THE WINTER TOO, BUT AWESOME IN FALL)!

There is a recipe similar to this, I think without the cream cheese, that my mom and nana have been using for years, but this is the one I found right off the bat.

These are dangerously delicious. Whenever they're made around my family's house in the fall and winter months, they are eaten up like crazy!

My brother Trey has a habit of eating most of them, but we all have our fair share. My husband also loves them too, which is great for me!

These are somewhat messy to make because, at least in my family, we roll the sausage balls by hand. However, the tastiness is well worth the hard work! 

These are perfect to bring to a party this fall or even around Christmas. Also, if your family is like mine, we usually have a light breakfast on Christmas and Thanksgiving because we know that we will be digging in to some really tasty foods around lunch or dinner!

4: BUTTER STEAK AND POTATOES 

For whatever reason, I have never really tried something like this. This is a skillet meal, and I really hope to try it this fall. It just looks so tasty!

Basically, this is chopped steak with quartered red potatoes (at least that is what I would use). The food is seasoned with things like garlic, thyme, oregano, and a ton of other seasonings and spices that make this meal sound more and more mouthwatering the longer you look at it.

5: THE BEST ROAST EVER

My mom makes this amazing roast and I had to do some research and find it. I don't think she uses the Italian seasoning packet (I could be wrong), and I think she substitutes the Brown Gravy packet for Au Jus sauce, which you can also find in a packet.

You place the roast in your crockpot with a packet of ranch seasoning and a packet of Au Jus sauce with (I believe) a stick of butter). This goes great with potatoes and green beans. Give it a try this fall, especially on Sundays!
