Apple is one of the most popular smartphone retailers around, with millions of users worldwide. With such success, and with many limiting the power of smartphones, some hidden gems have gone undiscovered. In this blog post, you will learn six must-try iPhone hacks that will make your life easier (or just cooler)! 1. CORRECTING SIRIAs we know, the English language in particular can be a bit tricky, so Siri can end up saying the name the way it is spelled, but not the way it is actually pronounced. Because of this, Siri might not understand you when you're asking about something or someone of that name. When you hear Siri mispronounce something, simply say "That's not how you say that." Siri will then ask you to say the name and give you pronunciation choices based off of what you said. Click the one that is closest to what you said, and Siri will save your preferences for future use! 2. CLEAR LOCATION HISTORYIf you're someone who has your location settings on at all times, you can easily clear your location history by visiting: settings > privacy > location services > system services > significant locations. You will find a list and a message that says that your iPhone compiles and stores this list to help you gather useful location-related information in your maps, calendar, photos and more. Simply scroll to the bottom of the list and click "clear history." As long as you keep your location settings on, your iPhone will continue to do this, but your location settings are quite important when using a number of apps! 3. CLOSE MULTIPLE APPS ALL AT ONCE
is a great tool for people who are trying to free up processing space quickly and, if you're an app hoarder like I am, you can skip the minutes-long process of closing the apps individually. 4. SET YOUR MUSIC ON A TIMER
time has run out. This can also be a great tool for time-outs for parents, for music lovers who listen to tunes while the laundry is running, and so forth! 5. TURN OFF DATA USAGE FOR SOME APPS
6. TAKE PHOTOS AND VIDEO
CONCLUSIONThere are so many hacks to use with your iPhone to make your life easier. I hope that these six hacks have taught you something new! Do you have a useful hack? 9/13/2018 9 SOCIAL MEDIA TIPS FROM A MARKETING ASSISTANT THAT WILL HELP YOU BEAST AT BLOGGING!Read NowI know that I have a lot of friends who read my blog who are bloggers themselves. Some blog each day, some on a set schedule, and some just blog when they want to. But one thing that all bloggers struggle with is attracting readers. This is because we live in an increasingly-visual society where people would much rather watch a video than read a blog. However, as someone who deals with marketing to all age groups each and every day, I have found a few useful tools that will help you stay on top of your blog and attract new readers! Here they are: NEVER, EVER POST WITHOUT A PHOTO
PLAN AHEAD AND SCHEDULEBefore I started my career in marketing, I really didn't know about some of the free resources you can use to plan and schedule posts. For example, I didn't know about Tweetdeck. If you don't know about this, it can really help you. Tweetdeck is built in to Twitter. It allows you to schedule your posts out so that they are sent from your account at a certain time. This is perfect for people who plan their blogs, write them, and schedule them to post later in the week. It is also perfect for people who are juggling jobs, family life, and social life! You can easily plan and not have to worry about it later. You can also easily schedule things on your Facebook page, and most blog-editing sites allow you to schedule posts to go out on certain days as well. GET RID OF DEAD FOLLOWSIn the Twitter community in particular, it is understood that you typically follow someone back when they follow you. However, some try to do this baiting trick where they will follow you, wait for you to follow them back, and then unfollow you. This is to boost their followers. However, this means that one less person is seeing your posts. To combat this, sign up for a free account on ManageFlitter.com. The free account shows you who is not following you, so you can unfollow them as well. As a blogger, your goal is to get people to click on your blogs. That won't happen if you're following a ton of people whoa aren't following you back. This helps you maintain a good following without subscribing to people who are just using you for the numbers. LINK GOOGLE ADSENSE TO MAKE SOME DOUGH
displayed on your website. The settings are easy to change and it is a great way to make money doing what you love. GET DESIGN HELP FROM FIVERRI always talk about my freelance site, sometimes in a bad light. However, I recently got some help from a designer on Fiverr to design a logo for me. Most of the services start around $5, which is great for bloggers on a budget. Having a logo will help solidify your blog's branding and make it recognizable when you use it on thumbnails and images on different social media sites. Fiverr also offers help in the social media arena, with several marketing professionals available to market your blog for a fee. POST OFTEN
personal social media before, but you can do it if you have trouble staying active on your social media pages! ADD MULTIMEDIA TO YOUR POSTS WHEN POSSIBLE
GET CHATTY WITH YOUR FOLLOWERSit should appeal to a wide variety of users, not just your followers. This will help keep your followers engaged in everything you're doing on your account. DON'T UNDERESTIMATE HASHTAGS
Transformation Tuesday, Wellness Wednesday, Throwback Thursday, Follow Friday, and so on! Tons of people use these hashtags on those days, so you will be connected with even more people! CONCLUSIONI hope that you've learned at least one useful tip from today's blog post! Let me know down below if anything else has worked for you! My college campus is a magnet for hurricanes. Although I've graduated, I still live in the area. About two years ago, in 2016, the city where I am from was pummeled by Hurricane Matthew. So many people lost their family members and their property in the storms. Hurricane Matthew taught me a lot. FILL YOUR BATHTUBFill up your bathtub with water so that you have some water to use to flush the toilet if you have to go to the restroom. This can help you stay comfortable without, quite frankly, stinking up your house and making it a miserable place to stay during bad storm. TAG YOUR PETS
Quick story: During Hurricane Matthew, Jonathan and our then-roommate found two dogs near our house. We took them in and fed them. We later found out that the dogs had been one of our neighbor's dogs, but the neighbor refused to put a collar and tag on them. Later, when another storm hit, the dogs got out again and the children of the neighbor harassed us for days about if we had their dogs. I had to explain that the dogs didn't have a tag and may have been picked up by animal control during or after the storm. This is why it is important to keep updated information on your animals, that way an animal rescue officer or good samaritan can get in contact with you should they find your animal. DON'T FREAK IF YOU DON'T HAVE CANDLES
CHILL IN THE WASHING MACHINE
keep opening your fridge or freezer during the power outage! DON'T FORGET BABY WIPES!
CONCLUSIONAside from these unique tips, be sure to find your evacuation point and stock up on non-perishable foods and water. Other necessities will include batteries, flashlights, and a first aide kit.
