Hello everyone, and welcome to the last post for September. The last post of each month is usually a favorites post. I will say that some of these are presents for my birthday, and you'll see a few of them in my Oct. 1 vlog. There are some birthday gifts that I didn't list in my favorites post because I haven't tried them yet. They will probably be in my October favorites post. With all that being said, let's get started: FLANNEL MINI CANDLE, BATH AND BODY WORKS
MORPHE LIPSTICK IN THE SHADE "WHIPPED"
MORPHE X JEFFREE STAR PALETTE
NYX EYEBROW POWDER PENCIL
BATH AND BODY WORKS MINIS
MOVIE OF THE MONTH | HUSTLERS
I will say that you shouldn't expect to see too much of Lizzo or Cardi B. They are more of a cameo in the movie. However, you see a lot of Keke Palmer, Constance Wu, Jennifer Lopez, and Lili Reinhart. I would definitely recommend that you see the movie if you are of age! It is an awesome portrayal of a true story. As some of you may know, I am one of 13 city commissioners on the Fayetteville Millennial Commission. During one of our meetings last month, we had a visit from Sustainable Sandhills about National Drive Electric Week, which is this week. I will share some information about a local event later, but now I want to share three benefits of driving an electric car: 1: IT IS BETTER FOR THE ENVIRONMENTElectric vehicles don't need regular gasoline, so they don't release emissions into our environment. Renewable electricity resources such as solar or wind power can be used to "refuel" these cars, making them a great option for helping to change the environment. 2: IT CAN HELP YOUR AREA KEEP FUNDINGThese grants could be for things like parks and recreational facilities, transportation, and community development. While it is great that the issuers of these grants value the importance that the local environment has on its residents, it is vital for the residents to try and make a positive impact on the environment where and when they can. Electric vehicles are a great way to lower emission ratings, but you can also try energy conservation, carpooling/biking to work, and using public transportation. 3: IT MAY PROVE TO BE MORE COST-EFFECTIVE THAN TRADITIONAL GASOLINEEveryone loves saving money, and you can be sure that you'll have a little extra in your wallet at the end of the week when you switch to an electric vehicle. 4: MORE ATTRACTIVE ELECTRIC CARS ARE BEING PRODUCEDIn actuality, a ton of brands are creating stylish, practical electric vehicles. These include Tesla, Cadillac, Honda, and Nissan, to name a few. Just Google some images to see the stylish options available. FIND YOUR LOCAL EVENT!In Fayetteville, N.C., there will be an Electric Vehicle Show this Saturday, Sept. 21, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Honeycutt Park featuring electric cars from the brands listed above. There will also be door prizes from places like Fayetteville PWC, Sustainable Sandhills, PepBoys, Texas Roadhouse, Starbucks, and more!
Bring the kids to the event's Kids Zone, where they can make crafts and learn about solar derby race cars. If you're not from the area, visit DriveElectricWeek.org/events and type in your zip code to find Drive Electric Week events near you. |
