FUN THINGS TO DO FOR THE FIRST DAY OF FALL WHILE IN A NATIONAL PANDEMIC

If you've been a follower of the blog for long, you'll know that I absolutely love fall! Today, Sept. 22, is the offical First Day of Fall, which has me excited and ready for the months to come. No matter what's going on in the world, I always have a sense of happiness toward the end of the year. The end of the year brings birthdays and holidays that mean lots of family get-togethers and time with the people I love.

Today, I'm excited to share some of the things I think you can do to celebrate the first day of fall while social distancing and, in some cases, quarantining. 

DO SOME BAKING/COOKING

Nothing quite screams fall to me than baking and baking. I love baking as it is relaxing and so much fun to recreate recipes that your family will enjoy. 

​Some of my favorite fall recipes are peanut butter cookies, potato soup, chili, roast, apple dump cake and roasted sweet potatoes.

ADD A LITTLE SPICE TO YOUR MORNING COFFEE

No matter if you're a fan of cinnamon or pumpkin spice, add some of your favorite flavors into your morning coffee. You can also add caramel! I would recommend the pumpkin cold brew from Starbucks, as it is one of my favorites around this time of year. I hear their pumpkin muffin is also to die for!

My favorite part of fall is October, because therein lies my birthday and my favorite holiday: Halloween! I absolutely love putting on themed outfits and having a little photo shoot.

HAVE A FALL-THEMED
​MOVIE MARATHON

In case you didn't know, there are a ton of fall and Halloween movies over on Disney+ already! You can watch Halloween Town or even one of my favorites, Hocus Pocus. Or you could simply have a marathon of all-new horror movies that you can find on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and more!

PICK SOME PUMPKINS

One of my favorite things to do during the fall is visit a pumpkin patch to pick out pumpkins and to go on a short little hay ride. This photo was taken in 2018, but we go almost every year when we can.

​We also like checking out the other things these farms sell such as jellies and jams. I'd love to check out an apple orchard one year, too, but we haven't done that just yet!
