If you haven't heard, Disney is officially pulling its titles from Netflix in order to draw in customers for its new streaming service, Disney Plus. You may be asking, "why do you care, aren't you like 26?" Yes, I am. But, first of all, that doesn't mean I don't enjoy Disney movies. Second of all, Disney owns a ton of titles that go beyond their cute animated character movies. I've seen several blogs and articles containing predictions about Netflix's future. With Disney Plus charging about $7 a month, and Netflix charging about double that for multiple watchers, Disney Plus seems to be the better deal. In addition, Disney Plus will get back the superhero movies, Disney shows, and a TON of Lifetime movies (let's all shed a tear for having fewer sappy Christmas movies to watch this season). That was the Nickelodeon show from my teenhood, Victorious. I LOVED that show growing up, and I always love to take a walk down memory lane by rewatching old shows. What if, and hear me out here, what if Netflix teamed up to exclusively offer streams of old and new Nickelodeon shows? Since Nickelodeon and Disney are like the N'SYNC and Backstreet Boys of television, I have a good feeling that many people will stay for a chance to see some older Nickelodeon shows (and the newer ones).
If not, I know that Netflix has made strides in their original series. They are really good, and I wouldn't be surprised if the inclusion and continuation of those will keep the subscriptions coming! As for me and my husband, I'm not sure what we're going to do. My wallet says another subscription isn't a good idea. However, it may be something we do down the line when money isn't as tight. What do you think? Would you stay with Netflix if you could watch old Nick shows?

Below is a collection of YouTube videos that are perfect for this season. I have added text to clarify where needed. Bunny from Grav3yardGirl is one of my favorite people to watch in this season because she and I have a similar love for Halloween. I love watching her treat bag hauls. She lives in Texas and always has a huge treat bag to give to her trick or treaters! She's done these for years, so you can binge them! I've recently gotten into Sierra Schultzzie and she has been doing some fun Halloween content. There are a ton of YouTubers who are doing Halloween costume videos right now. Honestly, any Loey Lane video is perfect for Halloween. She reads scary stories and Creepy Pastas, so it's a must for this season! Hailey Reese is also another great person to look at for Halloween content. She talks about hauntings and sometimes will read subscriber stories. I debated adding Eleanor Neale to this because she mostly covers true crime. This isn't meant as any disrespect. I am personally fascinated year round with learning more about cases and how the police have and are working to solve them. She also gives the "no disrespect" disclaimer before she covers the story. She has covered solved and unsolved murders with good and bad endings.
This is just a small collection of some of my favorite gamers and their scary games playthroughs. Markiplier has a "3 Scary Games" series on his channel. Daz doesn't post a ton of horror game content, but Jack does.
Be advised that these guys do curse so, if you aren't OK with that, don't watch them! I would recommend that you look for a good horror game or horror game series playthrough to watch this season! I realized that there are a lot of book worms out there reading blog post day after day about people's favorite books. So, today I wanted to bring you a book review and explanation of my favorite book: "The Outsiders."
Later, a fight escalates to unbelievable heights, leaving some of the greasers on the lam from the law. Now that you have a mini-summary, here are the reasons I like this book so much: NARRATIVE FORMAT IS WELL-WRITTENIT TAKES A SERIOUS LOOK AT CLASSISM
My middle school was a lot like the one described in "The Outsiders." Less than half of the student body was from the poorer side of town. The rest lived in lavish houses by the lake and took their boat out every weekend when it was warm. You could tell that there was some separation between socioeconomic classes in my middle school. I think I love this book so much because I sometimes felt empathy for Ponyboy. IT SHOWS THAT FAMILY CAN BE MORE THAN BLOOD
Growing up, and still to this day, I have had friends who are family. If one of us is hurting, we are both hurting. If one of us needs advice, we are a shoulder to cry on, a listening ear, and a giver of sound advice. I love this about this book. CONCLUSIONIf you haven't checked this book out, you need to! It is such an easy read, and a really great story if I do say so myself! I hope you will let me know what you think of my book recommendation. Thanks so much for reading! Happy Friday, everyone! Today, I wanted to do a bit of a storytime about the post that I wrote that caused me to shut down my last blog. That's right, I had a different blog at one point called "What a Big Girl Blogs." I shared a lot more of my opinion on that blog than I did this one. You may be surprised to know that it was a post on the Kardashians that caused me to shut down my last blog.
After all, she had been flaunting it on social media, and she has a huge following. Even people who hate her and her family are watching her. I also took some time to point out reasons why I thought the Kardashian/Jenner clan weren't the best role models for girls. WHAT HAPPENED WHEN I POSTED?My best friend was held at gunpoint, and that was so nerve-wracking for me to know. To know that someone who you love dearly could have been taken from you. I never would be OK with that or imply that someone deserved that, but that's what he took from the conversation. His brother, who didn't like me for whatever reason, jumped on as well. Thankfully, all of my friends defended me and were quick to call them out. Never once did I call either of the guys names, yet they continued to call me names. I was super shocked when their mother hopped on the post and told me I was being rude. My friends were quick to jump in to set the record straight, pointing her to the negative and rude comments from her son. I eventually deleted and blocked them. However, this made me re-evaluate if I wanted a blog or not. VALIDATED YEARS LATER BY THE KARDASHIANS“Even though it was horrific and I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone, it really did deeply change me to where now I feel like I can get back to myself,” Kardashian said in an interview on “The Alec Baldwin Show” that aired Sunday. Kim basically admitted that she realized how much she flaunted (not saying she doesn't do that now) and that she realized that life is about more than what you own. Since then, we've also seen Khloe become more honest about the men she has had in her life. Since Tristan cheated on her, you can tell she is more aware. I wish that the Kardashian/Jenner tribe realized what they are doing to the self-esteem of younger people who watch them, specifically women. We've seen a bit of improvement since Kylie admitted that her lips were plumper because of filler. She, at one point, was alleging that she only used lipliner to overdraw her lips so that they appeared fuller. Only around the time of her pregnancy did she admit to stopping the lip injections. I'm super glad they don't seemingly advertise for corsets anymore. However, you see "revenge body" (which is bananas insulting and implies that women still need the attention of the man they left/who left them after they've broken up), used a lot. I'm all for being healthy. I do think it is important to remind people that famous people/celebrities can afford things like personal chefs, nutritionists, child care, and personal trainers. WHY I LET IT STOP MEI thought to myself, "if this is how it's going to be when I share my opinions, why bother sharing them at all." I will say that this has taken control. I don't share my opinions very often anymore, and my opinions have somewhat changed in the last few years. I am not what you would call a "straight-ticket" kinda person. I have some conservative views and some liberal views. This isn't great because it means that I'll make both sides mad at me for some reason in the end! WHAT'S DIFFERENT ABOUT THIS BLOG?Effectively, I'm killing two birds with one stone. I'm solving my issue while doing what I love: writing!
Secondly, I've been much more consistent on this blog. This blog has a post schedule (every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday). I very rarely miss a day! This has built a kind of audience for me (according to my views) and has made me feel that I need to be consistent for that audience. And lastly, I just try not to put people's perceptions of me above my own happiness anymore. I'm 25 years old. A quarter of a century. I don't want to live for the approval of others. The only things that matter to me is that I'm pleasing God; loving my life; and making my loved ones feel safe, valid, and happy. If I'm doing that, I don't really care what else happens. I'm just happy to be happy! 1: WHEN YOU SEE YOUR DOG AND ARE OVERWHELMED WITH PURE, UNADULTERATED LOVE FOR HIM/HER2: BUT THEN THEY GO TO ANOTHER ROOM AND THEY GET QUIET AND YOU KNOW THEY'RE UP TO SOMETHING3: OR THEY FREEZE AND START GAGGING AND YOU WANT THEM TO MOVE OFF THE BED SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO WASH THE SHEETS AGAIN4: WHEN YOUR PARTNER GETS MAD WHEN YOUR DOG TEARS SOMETHING UP, BUT YOU'RE MORE CONCERNED ABOUT THE DOG5: BUT NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOUR DOG WON'T LET YOU GO PEE ON YOUR OWN....6: OR SIT LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE INSTEAD OF RIGHT ON TOP OF YOU7: YOU CAN ALWAYS BET THAT THEY WILL BE LOYAL TO YOU, EVEN WHEN YOU LOSE YOUR COOL WITH THEM...8: AND THAT YOU'LL ALWAYS HAVE PLENTY OF PICTURES IN YOUR CAMERA ROLL TO SHOW WHEN PEOPLE ASK YOU IF YOU HAVE A DOG9: AND EVEN WHEN YOU FIND YOURSELF SLIPPING IN TO YOUR "MOM" VOICE....10: YOU WOULDN'T TRADE YOUR "DOG MOM" STATUS FOR THE WORLDHAPPY DOG MOM DAY! |
