If you have the family together this holiday season, you all may want to do some activities together. No matter if you're looking for something to do with the children in your family, or if you're looking for some clever Christmas crafts for a holiday party, keep reading for some ideas and instructions! 1. CINNAMON STICK CHRISTMAS TREE ORNAMENTYour cinnamon stick will act as the tree stump. Cut pieces of green tree garland, gradually increasing the strips in size. You will only need a few strips, as you'll want the cinnamon stick to show. Glue the strips to the cinnamon stick. After that dries, decorate the garland with the rhinestones which will act as the ornaments. Finally, glue some twine to the top of the cinnamon stick and add the ornament to your tree! 2. WRAPPING PAPER SCRAP WALL ARTWe all end up having extra scraps of wrapping paper that are too small to use to wrap another gift. This craft will let you use up those scraps in a cute wall art piece. First, cut 1/2-inch wide strips of left over wrapping paper. Make several strips that gradually decrease in size. You will also need a small strip to act as the tree stump. Next, glue the strips into the shape of a Christmas tree onto the backing paper. After that, frame your creation and hang it in your home for a festive piece of art for the holidays. 3. MELTED PEPPERMINT ORNAMENTStart by crushing your peppermints. You can either place them in a plastic bag and smash them with a rolling pin, or you can try pulsing them in a blender. Next, place your greased cookie cutters on a pan. I would recommend using a silicone baking pad so the ornament comes off easily. Add the crushed peppermint into your cookie cutters and put them in your oven on the broil setting. Keep a constant eye on them and take them out when the candies are melted. After removing them from the oven, use a straw to poke a hole in the top of the ornament. Let it cool fully and remove from the pan. Add the twine and hang on your tree! 4. GARLAND FROM PAINT SAMPLE CARDSFind paint sample cards in your desired colors. Cut them in the shape of a traditional Christmas light. Take a gray piece of paper and cut it in an arch. Tape or glue it to the top to act as the connecting piece between the light and the wire. Now, tape or glue the light bulbs to the twine or string and hang it in your home for a cute piece of Christmas decor that is cheap to make and looks great with your decor!
