APRIL 2019 FAVORITES

Another month has blown by, which means its time for me to tell you some of the things I loved this last month. Let's get right into it:

COLOURPOP X DISNEY VILLAINS: HADES | $25

I have posted a lot about this collection since I purchased it in early April. I actually ended up getting a collection that I didn't expect to get. I originally wanted the Dr. Facilier one, but I decided to get a warmer-toned one.

I love the lipstick, and the highlighter is a warm gold color, which is new for me. I absolutely love the formula of both. Not crazy about the lipgloss, mostly because I don't like lipgloss in the first place. But, it came as part of the set. I know that, on their website, you can purchase individual pieces from each collection, but I bought in store!

ULTA X AVENGERS SUPERCHARGED - $8

When I purchased the Hades collection, I decided to look around a bit in Ulta. I came across a collection of matte liquid lipsticks from a partnership with the Avengers.

If you know me, you know I love the Avengers (Iron Man is my favorite). I decided to try it out. I love the color and the fact that it is matte. However, the formula is a little sticky and reapplications will be a must with this product.

However, I really like this product, specifically the applicator. It fits all the curves of my lips!

TARTE SUGAR RUSH ITEMS | ~$25

Just ignore the Hydro Boost in this photo. I purchased the start-shaped brush and the Squeezy Clean face wash from Tarte in early April.

I was so stoked to try them and, I have to say, they do not disappoint. I swear that the brush is the softest thing I've ever felt in my life. The Squeezy Clean formula can take off most of my makeup. I have the Hydro Boost in the shot because I use it after the face wash the remove other makeup and keep my face hydrated. The brush was about $15 and the facewash was around $8!

TIKTOK MAKEUP LAPSE VIDEOS | FREE

I uploaded one of my timelapses onto YouTube so you could see what I'm talking about. Tik Tok is kind of like Musicly and Vine put together. I like using it to make videos of my "transforming" into my makeup. I think that it gives me confidence, even if I'm still not the best at doing my makeup. I feel like I'm improving, and that's what matters to me!

THE INNER WORLD | $8

I really like to play and watch video games that have an interesting storyline. Last time the hubby got paid, he bought himself God of War, which I've really loved watching and helping with. He got me this game, which is filled with puzzles. It is really fun to play, but the instructions are somewhat lacking. Other than that, I really love it and look forward to playing it more!

FRIENDSHIP COLLAR | ~$40

My brother had this thing called a "friendship collar" for his dog, Luna (yellow lab you often see in my snaps/InstaStories). This company not only sells collars, but sells a matching bracelet that doggy moms and dads can wear, too!

I'm looking forward to getting one for Maisel soon, but the one pictured is the one I bought for my mom. Unfortunately, it was too big and she has to send it back for a new one. But, the company is pretty friendly about returns and replacement of damaged items!

SO, THAT'S IT!

Those are all of the products that I've loved from April! I'm looking forward to a few other things in May:

OCTOBER FAVORITES 2018

Blog-tober has been such an amazing and rewarding experience. But, today's blog is one that normally happens each month on this blog: my monthly favorites, where I tell you what products and other things I loved this month. Check it out:

ALMOND MILK | $3

It's always great to find a healthier alternative to things that I normally use.

For me, I drink weight-loss shakes at least once a day.

When Hurricane Florence came through, I lost all of my pre-made shakes, but I had some Slimfast powder, so I began using it with Almond Milk.

I love the almond milk because it is creamy and it's a lot better for me than traditional milk. I have been using the vanilla milk, but I may try unsweetened almond milk next time to see if I like it!

HIGHLIGHTER | $5

I decided that I would try to find some actual highlighter to use in my makeup routine. However, since I was trying it out for the first time, I didn't want to buy a super expensive one in case I didn't actually like adding this step to my routine.

I actually purchased the one to the left at Five Below. If you don't know what that is, it is a dollar store of sorts where everything costs $5 or less. I really like the Opal shade! I'm looking forward to eventually adding a better highlighter into my makeup collection!

OUR WORKPLACE CAT

I love animals, but I have a special place in my heart for cats. I have a cat named Rum Tum, and she is one of the sweetest cats I've ever had the pleasure of having!

There is another cat, though, that has caught my attention recently. This male cat hangs around our office, probably because we've provided him with a pet bed and some cat food. I love cats and was actually searching for a black cat when I found my cat Rum Tum, but now I'm not sure I can take him home with me. We have considered it, though.

I've decided to call him Binx after the black cat from Hocus Pocus, one of my favorite Halloween movies.

NAIL POLISH REMOVER DISPENSER | $1

I found this to be so cool. OK, so I am just now getting back in to painting my nails. I just think it looks nice and I'm trying to make an effort to paint my nails more.

I was in the dollar store and saw this cool dispenser. It works well and delivers the product well. I'm sure other places sell this for more money.

Also, if you're looking to get in to painting your nails and you don't want to buy a bunch of expensive nail products, try the dollar store in your area. Mine had nail wraps and fake nails as well as a ton of nail polish. It will chip a bit easier, but it is great for "beginners."

MY FAVORITE OCTOBER YOUTUBE CHANNEL

I've been in love with true crimes videos on YouTube and I've found one YouTuber that I absolutely love: Eleanor Neale.

She basically does a ton of in-depth research on both solved and unsolved murders. She is also a makeup YouTuber, but I've actually only seen her true crime videos. I do think I'll eventually check out her makeup videos. If you're a fan of learning about crime stories, I suggest checking Eleanor Neale out on YouTube and subscribing to her channel!

MY FAVORITE OCTOBER MOVIE

I really loved the new Venom movie with Tom Hardy. I thought that the movie was really well made and Hardy was fantastic as Venom.

I strongly recommend going and seeing this movie in theaters for the full experience. Fun fact: When Jonathan and I went to see this movie, there was a storm in the area and the power went out numerous times!

CONCLUSION

I'm sorry that this monthly favorites blog post hasn't been very long, but I haven't really had a lot of time this month to try new things thanks to the blog schedule and blogtober! I'm sure there will be many more things I can tell you about in November.
