Last week, I wrote about things that my husband Jonathan thought were good gifts for Valentine’s Day. This week, I wanted to write about some things women would like to receive. Tell me about your most interesting Valentine’s Day gift and who it was from in the comments below. Before we get started, it is important to mention that all women and men are different, but this is from my perspective and what I think other women would like to receive. When in doubt, always check with your significant other. I feel it is important that you know your S.O. inside and out! Have a good feel for their likes and dislikes so you can find a gift that’s perfect for them. 1. COSMETICS/SKIN CAREMake sure to listen. If your significant other has their eye on a special palette or lipstick, take a mental note and grab it for them. I personally don’t purchase a lot of bigger makeup items often. In fact, most of my palettes were gifts from Jonathan. 2. SOMETHING FROM THE HEART
3. CHOCOLATE!So, it is nice to be able to share those with my husband, who loves them! 4. GIFT CARDS5. SOMETHING THAT FEEDS THEIR PASSIONIf you have any useful ideas for gifts for women on Valentine’s Day, leave them in the comments. Thank you for reading!
When I was thinking about Valentine's content, I decided I wanted to do a gift guide because I used to struggle a lot with purchasing gifts for my husband. Instead of writing down some ideas, I wanted to consult him to see why he appreciated gifts like these. Check out these five gift ideas for Valentine's Day from a man's perspective. 1. SOMETHING THAT SMELLS GOOD
"If you're going out for dinner or a movie, you want to smell good for your S.O. and colognes smell good." 2. VIDEO GAMES/ACCESSORIES
"Video games are fun and a great stress reliever. Having a new game or accessory would make playing more enjoyable." 3. TOOLS AND APPLIANCES"Getting tools makes me feel like I can do more and fix things myself. Being able to do that with your own tools makes me feel better than having to call someone (unless we really have to)." 4. SOMETHING THAT FEEDS A PASSION"These gifts allow you to express yourself. If you like to draw, you can draw things you like or something that reminds you of a good memory from the past. If your S.O. gets you a gift that feeds your passion, it shows they're listening and they know what makes you happy." 5. A BEARD CARE KIT
"If you're into making yourself look and feel good for your S.O., the beard care kit is a step in the right direction. You can pamper yourself, but it also makes you look and feel better." 1. HE'S PRETTY CUTE2. HE LOVES THE LORD
3. HE MAKES ME LAUGH
4. HE HAS A KIND HEART
5. HIS PASSION FOR WHAT HE LOVES6. HE SPEAKS MY LOVE LANGUAGE
7. HE SURPRISES ME8. HE IS GIVING
9. HIS BIG BROWN EYES10. HOW HE DOES THINGS I WANT TO DO THAT HE DOESN'T LIKE, SOMETIMES
11. HE NEVER MAKES ME DOUBT
12. HE HELPS ME WHEN I'M ANXIOUS
13. HE'S VERY KISSABLE!14. HE WILL BE A GREAT FATHER ONE DAY

I once had a friend who didn't like celebrating Valentine's Day. It wasn't because she was single; she had a significant other. The issue she had with the day was that your significant other should always show you the same amount of love every day, and shouldn't wait until V-Day to shower you with love. While I agree to some extent, I still think the day is special and should be celebrated! Check out why in today's blog post. LIFE GETS REALLY BUSY!
Spend Valentine's Day with your significant other, or even yourself. We don't always do enough self-care, or spend enough time with our partners. This day is the perfect day to celebrate one another. IT'S A DAY FOR CHOCOLATE!YOUR PARTNER DESERVES A SPECIAL DAY!
I may not be single now, but I was single for my entire adult life. I never went on a date until I was in college! With that being said, I know what it's like to see a bunch of happy couples all around you with no one to celebrate with. So, I wanted to give you some ideas on how you can celebrate this Day of Love if you don't have a romantic partner. TAKE YOURSELF ON A DATEHAVE A SELF-CARE DAY

JEWELRY
Last week, I shared with you a little bit about each love language and how you can celebrate Valentine's Day with a partner who speaks that love language. But today, I wanted to focus on why love languages are so important. 1. HIGHER SATISFACTION IN RELATIONSHIPSMany misunderstandings happen in relationships because of a lack of attention to love languages. Many women like myself have the love language of Quality Time. When we find our partners spending more time on something irrelevant rather than spending time with us, it can make us feel neglected. 2. DEEPER CONNECTIONSWhy do I fall more in love with my husband when he chooses to do something he isn't fond of to bring me happiness? Similarly, why does the look of passion on my husband's face when he's describing something he loves make me love him even deeper? 3. STRENGTHENS NON-ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIPS
