This is such a unique gift, especially for long-distance relationships, or when you just need a pick-me-up from your favorite person. You can get the inscription in a number of colors, and even in rainbow like the one listed here. The acrylic block is also a great decorative piece for a desk or shelf!

LOVE BOOK

One really special way you can show the person you love how much you care about them is with a love book.  This Knock Knock brand book is fill in the blank, but there are other companies out there that can make things more custom.  This is such a sweet gesture, and I think anyone would be excited to receive something like this from their valentine!

DIY CASTING KIT

I think having a little baby statue of you and your loved one's hands clasped together is so sweet. It would make a great centerpiece, and is pretty affordable. This Hand Casting Kit comes with everything you. need, including gloves and a mask. You can also decorate your cast as you like.  You can also get a refill kit if you want to make more than one.

CAPSULE LETTERS

I find this to be so adorable. The INFMETRY capsule letters offer a 90 pc and 25 pc set. Each capsule, which looks like a pill, has a blank piece of paper inside. You can remove the paper, write a message to your loved one, and refill the capsule. This is so sweet, especially for long distance relationships. You can open one a day until you see your loved one again, or can keep it on your desk and open it up when you're feeling down. I can't get over how adorable these are, and I know it would make a loved one feel special on Valentine's Day.

STAR MAP

You can get a personalized star map for your loved one for a specific date. Maybe it was the day you met, an anniversary, a birthday, or some other special date. This is so cute, and I love the idea of it being a piece of art you can display in your household. They have different options, and it is nice you can choose to get it framed or unframed!

1. COSMETICS/SKIN CARE

Girls like me love to put on makeup and take care of their skin! ​However, some women may not be into this, and getting something like this for them may be offensive.

2. SOMETHING FROM THE HEART

A lot of men are great at getting small little gifts that will bring a smile to their S.O.’s face. For me, it’s the occasional sweet treat from the gas station, or a little thing that made Jonathan think of me.   However, one of my most treasured items I’ve received from Jonathan is a love book. There is a company that allows you to customize characters and make a book about all the things you love about someone. It was so sweet, and it lives on my coffee table. I love to look at it when I’m feeling down. Even just a sweet letter or poem would make your girl’s heart flutter.

3. CHOCOLATE!

I don’t care what anyone says, chocolate is always a great idea for Valentine’s Day, if your significant other likes it. I like the boxes of chocolate because I always end up sharing with Jonathan.   I’m not a fan of coconut and some other nuts and nougats.

4. GIFT CARDS

A gift card to your girl’s favorite store is always a good option. ​For me, I think that would be Ulta, Target, or Walmart. Also, a Visa gift card is an awesome idea. That way, your girl can use it anywhere.

5. SOMETHING THAT FEEDS THEIR PASSION

This is something that I don’t believe changes, no matter what gender you or your S.O. identifies with. I’m really into music, makeup, movies, and writing. It is always so awesome when I receive a gift that fuels my passion. It makes me excited to pick up something new that will help me grow!

1. SOMETHING THAT SMELLS GOOD

Who says only women get to pamper themselves with nice-smelling things? A cologne, body wash, or lotion is always a great option for both your significant other and you! Jonathan works in a construction supply company, so he sweats a lot as he works throughout the day. It's nice when he can smell fresh and clean after a hard day's work!

2. VIDEO GAMES/ACCESSORIES

One thing almost every man has in common is their love of video games. Jonathan is no different. He loves trying new games and having great accessories to play them with. If your man isn't into video games, you could get them a board or card game you can play together! You can also get a system subscription!

"Video games are fun and a great stress reliever. Having a new game or accessory would make playing more enjoyable."

3. TOOLS AND APPLIANCES

For the handyman in your life, consider getting them the tool set they've been eyeing. I've been considering that Jonathan is probably due for a toolbox upgrade soon! Tools are useful, and you can find nearly everything from screwdriver sets to larger home appliances.

"Getting tools makes me feel like I can do more and fix things myself. Being able to do that with your own tools makes me feel better than having to call someone (unless we really have to)."

4. SOMETHING THAT FEEDS A PASSION

Jonathan is artistic, even though he always downplays his talents. He loves to draw, so one year I purchased him a sketchbook and some nice pencils. You know your man better than you think. Think about what makes him glow and get him something that feeds his passion.

"These gifts allow you to express yourself. If you like to draw, you can draw things you like or something that reminds you of a good memory from the past. If your S.O. gets you a gift that feeds your passion, it shows they're listening and they know what makes you happy."

5. A BEARD CARE KIT

Lastly, a beard care kit is a great way to give your partner that extra pampering they deserve. Jonathan received a beard car kit from an Influenster campaign I did a while ago, and he loved it. My mom also got him a kit for Christmas, which he uses every day! If your partner doesn't have a beard, skin care is also a great option. There are a lot of skincare brands that cater to different skin types and I'm sure you can find one marketed to men.

1. HE'S PRETTY CUTE

No matter how much he denies it, he's a big cutie! I literally have never found myself so attracted to someone more than I am to my husband! ​He's a cute person on the inside and out, and I love every second I get to spend with him!

2. HE LOVES THE LORD

One of the most beautiful things about my husband is his love for the Lord. I can't tell you how comforting it is to have my husband grab my hand and go to the Lord in prayer when I'm feeling anxious or scared, or when times are physically, emotionally, or mentally too much.  The Lord has been in our marriage from the start, and it is so important to me that we take time each week together to worship him!

3. HE MAKES ME LAUGH

I swear, a real quality a woman should look for in a man is humor. And I don't mean cheesy, though Jonathan has that covered too! I mean real humor. A man who knows when to make you laugh, and when to hold you while you cry. Jonathan is that man, and I'm so thankful to have him and his humor in my life.

4. HE HAS A KIND HEART

Jonathan is one of the kindest people I've met in my life. He always wants to go the extra mile to help those in his life, sometimes to his detriment. But, it's that what life is all about for us? Helping others when they truly need the help? I admire Jonathan's love for people and his desire to help those who need help. It is an amazing quality that not many truly possess.

6. HE SPEAKS MY LOVE LANGUAGE

My love language is quality time. I've talked a lot about love languages in the past two weeks. While each of us may need a reminder from time to time, Jonathan is really good about make sure we spend time together. One of our favorite things to do together is take Buzzfeed quizzes before bed, and play Trivia Crack, believe it or not.  We get a lot of laughs in, sometimes a little too many, which makes life fun and interesting each and every day.

7. HE SURPRISES ME

I will never forget a few Christmases ago when Jonathan surprised me with a love book. I was so shocked, I asked my mom if she gave him the idea, and she said she hadn't. I've never been surprised by something so sweet in my life!

8. HE IS GIVING

Along with his kind heart, he also has a giving heart. He wants give his time and energy to those who need it most. At times, that's me. But we can talk about that later.  Really, I'm just thankful that I was blessed with such a giving man who is willing to help others and me when we need it the most.

10. HOW HE DOES THINGS I WANT TO DO THAT HE DOESN'T LIKE, SOMETIMES

Jonathan really doesn't like pictures! He doesn't like standing in the rain. He doesn't particularly like watching scary movies. But he does it, most of the time without protest, because he knows it makes me happy! It's important in every relationship to show interest and learn more about what your spouse loves to do. I love that about our relationship.

11. HE NEVER MAKES ME DOUBT

In any relationship, there has to be trust. Early in our relationship, we struggled with trust. Partially because I was scarred from other relationships where partners had lied to me, and partially because he was scared to disappoint me and the others in his life. But never once have I doubted my husband's faithfulness to me. He makes me feel like the only woman in the world. Like no other person could grasp his attention the way I do. I truly never thought I'd get a relationship like that. But I know now that I have one.

12. HE HELPS ME WHEN I'M ANXIOUS

I have high-functioning anxiety and mild depression. Jonathan met me not long after I was diagnosed with it in college. He's sat with me through the worst hyperventilating episodes (which are thankfully few and far between), physical side effects associated with anxiety and depression, and much more.  His humor always gets me through my toughest days, and for that, I am nothing but thankful.

13. HE'S VERY KISSABLE!

14. HE WILL BE A GREAT FATHER ONE DAY

I hesitated using this photo, because Jonathan's father James passed earlier this year. But I saw the way James guided all of his boys. Through the six or so years I knew James, I started to see Jonathan's qualities in him and knew where they came from. I know from James' example that Jonathan will be an amazing father when God blesses us (hopefully soon) with a family of our own.

LIFE GETS REALLY BUSY!

The number one reason I feel celebrating Valentine's Day is important comes down to how busy life gets. Sure, getting flowers every week, going on weekly dates, and spending special time together is ideal on the regular, but that unfortunately doesn't always happen. I don't even have kids, and I find myself running around a lot and being unable to spend as much time with Jonathan as I want to!

IT'S A DAY FOR CHOCOLATE!

There are only a few days a year that we can have a ton of chocolate and look past it! Valentine's Day is probably the second biggest holiday for candy, second only to Halloween. Get yourself some chocolate and share it with your friends, family, partner, or enjoy it all for yourself!

YOUR PARTNER DESERVES A SPECIAL DAY!

Everyone deserves a few special days a year. For couples, those days may be birthdays and special holidays, including Valentine's Day.  Yes, love should be shared between partners each and every day, and your partner should always make you feel happy and loved. But having a special day just for your partner is really important because you each deserve it!

TAKE YOURSELF ON A DATE

Go on your own to do something you love. For some, it could be shopping, for others (like myself) it could be going to a movie. No matter what, get out and do something fun by yourself. You'll have a great time doing what you love, and you'll be too busy to be bothered to think about a partner!

HAVE A SELF-CARE DAY

Nothing tells your body that you love it quite like an at-home spa day. Do a sheet mask on your face, paint your nails, listen to soothing music, and take a bubble bath with a LARGE glass of wine by your side. Not only will you feel great in your body, but you will also feel relaxed mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

HAVE A FRIEND DATE

Because of COVID-19, you will have to be creative in ways you can hang out with your friends this Valentine's Day. You could watch a movie together online, or have a social-distance picnic at the park. Good friends always make life a little brighter, so hanging out with them on V-Day is a great way to bring some joy to your day.

VOLUNTEER AND MAKE SOMEONE SMILE

Your options for this would also be limited. However, you could easily call up a local nursing home and ask if you could visit with some of the residents at a window or door. There are a lot of people who don't feel loved right now, and anyone, single or not, can do a world of good and spread love and happiness in amazing ways this V-Day!
