FASHIONABLY FALL: 2018 FALL FASHION TRENDS

​If you’re looking to stay on top of all of the best fashion trends this fall, you need to know what’s happening on the runway. 
 
Is it realistic for you to throw on a runway look every day? No. But, you can always create affordable, runway-inspired looks to keep up-to-date on the latest fashions.
 
Here are some of the trends you should jump on this year to stay fashionable in fall:

COLORFUL LENSES IN YOUR GLASSES

​This trend has also been on the up and up for several years now. Dolce & Gabbana, Ashish, and Emporio Armani all styled their models with colored lenses during fashion week. The colors on the runway ranged from cooler blue tones to fiery red ones. So, accessorize with all shades in the color spectrum!

SHINY MATERIALS

​I guess we can all thank celebrities like Kim K for trends like these.

​According to what we’ve seen on the runway, shiny materials are in. This can be materials like latex or leather. 
 
Not only are these materials fashionable at the moment, they are also practical. Feeling chilly? Throw on your leather jacket!

They are also, for the most part, immune to food and drink spills and pair nicely with several items.

BIG BAGS

​Who can really keep everything they need in a clutch or micro-bag anyway?

This fall, break out your giant purses and fill them with all of your essentials.

​Carrying your oversized bags is in!

THE ROCKIN’ 80S ARE BAC

​So, in recent years, fashion trends from the 90s have made a comeback in fashion. Now it’s time to give the 80s its time (back) in the sun. This year’s runway looks included several quintessentially 80s looks including giant shoulder pads, frilly silk dresses, ankle boots, and mis-matched suit designs. Grab your floral print and a scrunchie this fall!

THE CLASSIC PLAID

​Don’t worry. You can still throw on your plaid flannel with some jeans and boots for a hot fall look.

​Plaid is one relentless pattern, according to fall pieces that include the checked design.

NOT-SO-NATURAL ANIMAL PRINT

​Tom Ford and Adam Selman were among several designers that played up the animal print on the runway this season.

​However, most of the animal print on the runway included neon colors like yellow, red, purple, pink, and even rainbow!

​Balmain and Christian Siriano, as well as other designers, are playing up the holographic materials this season.

So, if you’re in love with the holo trend, you don’t have to put away your shiny pieces for at least another season!

​You could even use the holographic pieces you own for a Halloween costume. Aliens, anyone?
