When I was thinking about Valentine's content, I decided I wanted to do a gift guide because I used to struggle a lot with purchasing gifts for my husband. Instead of writing down some ideas, I wanted to consult him to see why he appreciated gifts like these. Check out these five gift ideas for Valentine's Day from a man's perspective. 1. SOMETHING THAT SMELLS GOOD
"If you're going out for dinner or a movie, you want to smell good for your S.O. and colognes smell good." 2. VIDEO GAMES/ACCESSORIES
"Video games are fun and a great stress reliever. Having a new game or accessory would make playing more enjoyable." 3. TOOLS AND APPLIANCES"Getting tools makes me feel like I can do more and fix things myself. Being able to do that with your own tools makes me feel better than having to call someone (unless we really have to)." 4. SOMETHING THAT FEEDS A PASSION"These gifts allow you to express yourself. If you like to draw, you can draw things you like or something that reminds you of a good memory from the past. If your S.O. gets you a gift that feeds your passion, it shows they're listening and they know what makes you happy." 5. A BEARD CARE KIT
"If you're into making yourself look and feel good for your S.O., the beard care kit is a step in the right direction. You can pamper yourself, but it also makes you look and feel better."

As the clock strikes midnight and a new year begins, many of you probably make promises to yourself about what you’ll accomplish in the coming year. Sometimes the goals are lofty, and sometimes you may lose sight of your goal before the first month of the year is over with. Take into consideration these 10 pieces of advice I’ve curated for you! 1. Get a Handle on Your StressMy mom had a stroke in her 40s, and my family and I attribute it to the stress she endured at work. She worked alongside a woman who was very critical, despite not really understanding how to do her own job. Additionally, she was a single mom with two kids in school who participated in several activities. Getting a handle on your stress can help you live a happier and longer life. 2. Make Smaller Goals and Set TimeframesBut we often forget that these goals can be easier to reach if we set smaller goals that help us stay focused. This usually means setting goals for each month. Maybe you want to try to lose 5 pounds in January. Maybe you want to read 10 books cover to cover in the first three months. Making these smaller goals will help you meet your goals. 3. Cut Out Toxic and Negative PeopleToxic and negative people can suck the life out of you. These are people who constantly vie for your attention, or make you feel bad about yourself. There are several ways you can cut out negative people or lessen their impact on your life. Check out WebMD’s article on toxic and negative people and how to deal with them. 4. Focus on YouIf this sounds like you, you likely spend a lot of time doing for others, sometimes so much so that you work yourself into the ground. Take time to put yourself first. Burnout happens to everyone, and it can shorten your life and make your life less enjoyable. Make time for you and learn to say no if you feel you will be negatively impacted by giving more of yourself. 5. Keep LearningThis is a great way to build up your resume with official certifications. It will keep you at the top of your game or can help you learn new skills for a new career! 6. Spend Time with Family and FriendsSpending time with family and friends who bring you joy is a great way to lower anxiety levels and depressive episodes. I personally loved having a ton of time with my family over Christmas break. I spent nearly three weeks with my mom and brother, and was able to spend quality time with them, my husband, and his family. COVID-19 has put a stop to a lot of family get togethers. I recommend you get vaccinated or at least tested before you spend time with family members or friends, especially if they are prone to infection. 7. Drink More WaterYou can get away with not keeping clean oil in your car for a while, but eventually it will break down. The same goes for your body. If you want flavor when you need something to drink, consider using flavor packets or liquids like MiO. 8. Put Energy into Things/People That Pour Back Into YouFor example, you may feel you are pouring too much energy and effort into your job without learning anything new. However, someone else may be pouring in a ton of energy into their job, but they find the knowledge they are receiving useful for their personal and professional growth. It might be a friendship, or it could be an organization that only you and a few others are putting time into. Do what you can but remember that you need to refill the energy that you pour out! 9. Set Boundaries
Whatever it is, setting boundaries will help you live a more enjoyable life with healthy relationships. 10. Don't Get DiscouragedFinally, don’t get discouraged if you miss a goal or fall behind. While progress is imperative for growth, sometimes you won’t always meet your goal. That’s OK, if you’re trying. Therefore, setting reasonable goals is important. If you set too lofty of a goal, you could be setting yourself up for failure. But everyone fails. It’s how we learn. Don’t get discouraged and keep moving toward your goals. ConclusionThis year, you can live up to the “New Year, New Me” phrase. All you have to do is follow these 10 steps. Do you have an idea or tip that could help others stay motivated in 2022? Leave it in the comments below or find me on social media and let me know what you think. Organization can improve your sleep, reduce stress, improve your relationships, reduce depression and anxiety, and make you more productive, according to intermountain healthcare.org. With benefits like these in 2022, why wouldn't you want to get organized? Let's hop into my plan for staying organized in 2022. GET A PLANNER
SET SOME GOALS
DON'T SAVE CHORES FOR THE WEEKENDI usually feel pretty exhausted at the end of the day, but I'm making it a goal to do one thing each day when I come home before I go into relax mode. This could be unloading and reloading the dishwasher, washing laundry, or cleaning up one area of your house. You could even set a timer and clean for just that small amount of time. This will reduce the clutter in your home and make you feel more organized. PUT YOUR THINGS AWAY RIGHT AWAYHowever, I still haven't unpacked. No matter if it is unpacking your suitcase after a trip, or even just unpacking and storing your groceries right after returning from the store, doing this can keep you organized. If you leave things out, your home will become more cluttered and chaotic. Put things away right away. WHAT DO YOU DO TO STAY ORGANIZED?Have a tip I didn't mention here? Leave it in the comments. I know we all want each passing year to be better than the last. Share your thoughts below, and be sure to check back here for more blog posts in the future. 2021 was a tough year for everyone. I think most of us were hoping it would be better than 2020. To be honest, it kind of was, seeing as how most people didn't have to quarantine and work from home (though I can't say that I don't miss it). Needless to say, I made a pretty short list of goals for 2021, but I didn't really achieve all of them.
I also wanted to make money from my content. I'm not yet to a threshold where I can take out the money I've made, but I am still earning from ads on my blogs. I wanted to read the Bible cover to cover, and I almost did. I only have a few more books, so I'm hoping to finish reading the whole Bible by the middle of this year. Lastly, I wanted to spend more time with my family. I've been lucky to do this, especially at the end of the year. 2022 GOALS
I have already gone ahead and purchased a nice planner for 2022, and that's because I want to be more organized. I don't know if it's just me, but I am super organized in the office. I make sure my space is clean and that everything has its place, but that isn't the case at home.
