YOU WON'T BELIEVE MY RESULTS FROM TRYING 3 JOAH BEAUTY PRODUCTS

After seeing the amazing reviews of a fellow blogger and vlogger, I decided to give Joah Beauty a try. Joah Beauty products are said to be based off of K Beauty products. For my review, I wanted to try a foundation, primer, and a lip product.

JOAH BEAUTY TRULY YOURS LIQUID FOUNDATION

When I go to try out a new foundation, I tend to stay away from liquid ones. I don't have oily skin, but I do have really red skin. Usually, liquid foundations seem harder to build for me, so I try to get a creme foundation that mattes down!

However, I was pleasantly surprised when I bounced this foundation onto my skin. Yes, the foundation was very liquidy for lack of a better word. However, it effectively covers my redness and is super easy to build.

I've also never tried a foundation with a dropper. I really like being able to fill up the dropper and control how much foundation is going on to my face. This keeps me from wasting the product. To make this even better, the foundation was only about $7 for me, because I bought it on sale. Usually, the foundation is about $9.50, which is still a really great deal!

JOAH BEAUTY GLOW ACTIVATION RADIANCE PRIMER

I've never been a stickler for the "beauty rules," so I'm sure it comes to no surpirse to you readers that I'm not a die-hard primer user. However, my experience with this brand has kind of changed my mind.

I tried to get the sparkles in the shot but, in case you can't see them, I'll talk about those for a bit. This primer contains little flecks of what looks to be gold or glitter. I usually use one to two pumps. The little flecks of gold/glitter give your face an extra glow that goes on under your foundation.

To me, it feels a bit better than the ELF primer that I've used before. I unfortunately don't have a lot to go on when it comes to primers, as I've only really used drug store products.

This primer cost me about $7.88, but is usually $10.50.

JOAH BEAUTY JELLY BAE MATTE GEL LIPSTICK

I love to wear red colors on my lips, but I realized when doing my shopping for this post that I didn't actually have a darker red. I settled on this shade, which is named "Boothang."

I have been pleasantly surprised by the wearability of this product. It does what it says and mattes down pretty quickly. It is the perfect shade for what I was looking for. The only downside is that the component that holds the lipstick can start to look pretty gross after a while. It holds on to finger prints.

This cost me $4.88, but usually costs about $6.50. There are so many other shades in the red, pink, and nude family to choose from!

WHAT I FOUND

Surprise, surprise! I found that beauty brands DON'T have to cost a fortune to do what they promise.

In the picture to the right, I am wearing the lipstick, primer, and foundation. I used a little Tarte Shape Tape to help out my under-eye baggage!

I want to give a shout out to Katrina from KSLoves on YouTube! She raved about Joah's products in her content, which made me want to try them out for myself.

I want to say that I truly appreciate brands that are dupes for other, more expensive brands. I know that some people in the beauty world are upset by this, but those people usually don't have a tight budget to work with.

MY 5 "HOLY GRAIL" BEAUTY PRODUCTS (UNDER $25)

Everyone has those specific products that they won’t give up! Today, I wanted to share five of my holy grail products ranging from makeup to skincare.

I’m going to tell you the price that I found for the product and where else you could find it:

1: NEUTROGENA’S HYDRO BOOST CLEANSING GEL | $10

I’ve raved about this product in my skincare post, but I really love it and want to brag on it. The Hydro Boost face wash is a wiz at removing makeup, but it does what the name implies: increases moisture in the skin.

The product is $10 on Neutrogena’s website, but can also be found in retail stores like Target or Walmart.

2: MORPHE 35M BOSS PALETTE | $24

I have never had a big-name brand palette until this one, so it makes sense that I would be in love with it. I just love how pigmented the colors are.

One thing that drew me to this palette was the lack of blue colors because I have blue eyes and I don’t think blue looks good on my already blue eyes!

There are tons of colors to choose from, and you can find this palette anywhere Morphe is sold. I purchased mine at Ulta!

3: BATH AND BODY WORKS STRESS RELIEF LOTION | $13.50

Bath and Body Works products are very hit and miss for me. Generally, I love all of the scents that the company offers, but I find that some of the body washes dry out my skin and the body sprays don’t tend to last very long.

But, I absolutely love the company’s Aromatherapy Stress Relief lotion. It includes eucalyptus and spearmint essential oil. According to the Bath and Body Works website, eucalyptus clears the mind, and spearmint soothes and uplifts. The best thing is that this particular lotion collection is super hydrating in my experience. I love it!

And, not only does it hydrate, I think it does a lot toward reducing stress as well. I always feel much calmer and relaxed after using this!

4: JOHN FRIEDA FRIZZ EASE TOUCH-UP CRÈME | $7.50

Summer has really taken a toll on my hair. I got a lot of it chopped off last weekend, and I was really hoping that would help. While it helped a little bit, my frizz problem wasn’t completely solved. So, I decided I would reach for a new product to help calm my frizzies.

Frizz can be caused by a number of things including excessive hair washing, genetics, hair chemicals, your brush, or even your blowdryer.

But the good news is that there are several products out there that are specifically used to clear up frizz. I'm glad I got my hands on this one because I really needed it.

This product can be used on dry or wet hair. It adds shine to dull hair and protects hair from UV damage! I love this product, and it smells amazing!

5: JEFFREE STAR’S VELOUR LIQUID LIPSTICK | $18

OK, so if you know me, you know that I love pink/red lipsticks that matte down (for the most part)! I got this lipstick on sale and absolutely love it. It’s made an appearance in a lot of IG posts.

I would say a relatively good dupe would be Ulta’s Matte Liquid Lipstick in the shade Super Charged. I particularly love the doe-foot applicator on that one. But this is about Jeffree’s product.

I love the way the lipstick feels and I’m always happy to add it to my daily makeup routine.
